Halloween has ended and actually I expected the "Santa Claus" period to begin. Instead we have a limited 5 day UFO invasion! (of course UFO invasion always come when you do not expect them). Who did expect this? Amazingly original I think especially the crop circles, I think someone must have had a lot of beers coming up with this one.

FarmVilleWe all know that milk does a body good, right? Now, can you imagine the effects of Milktonium? The FarmVille market has been invaded by some items that are truly out of this world, including a crashed UFO, crop circles, and a visitor named BOV1NE-9. Along with these galactic guests there are a few new giftable items y...ou may want to check out. The truth isn't out there Farmers, it's in here: http://tinyurl.com/pex66g (http://twitter.com/zfarmville/status/5413807648, http://www.facebook.com/FarmVille?v=feed&story_fbid=171650388628) |
So? What are the goodies, do we get new gifts, decoration, buildings? Yes! All of that! Instead of the Halloween icons we see of today some cool UFO icons.
First of all we can send some new gifts:

This mysterious Red Gazing Ball is available from the starting level to gift. So they will probably fill anyone's mailboxes in no time. (gazing balls are a perfect way to add color to your garden) |
The chique bird bath is very nice for my owl :)

A new limited animal was added too. A very weird one

It is called "BOV1NE-09" (BO-V1-NE-09) (they should have made the second O a 0 I think) (The biological subfamily Bovinae includes a diverse group of 10 genera of medium to large sized ungulates, including domestic cattle, the bison, the water buffalo, the yak, and the four-horned and spiral-horned antelopes.) (Bovine is derived from Latin bos, "ox", through Late Latin bovinus. Bos comes from the Indo-European root *gwous, meaning ox.)
It is available only for 5 days. It takes the same space as normal cows and the same time for collecting, and you can put 20 of them in a dairy farm though it will cost you months before you get some ROI with the 18 coins for the "milktonium" that it produces. It is pettable (but nothing special happens, the same hearts) and is rotatable. When you want to sell it you get 120 coins for it. I wonder how more strange cows we are going to see the coming FarmVille period |
The coolest things are the limited decorations during the close encounter:

The Crop Circle I (empty circle), Crop Circle II (an eye that looks to the left), Crop Circle III (an eye that look to the middle) and Crop Circle IV (a smiley) are your proof that something mysterious has happened and, because they are available for coins, will be available to a large crowd. The Crop Cow and the Crop Duck are more limited in a sense since they are only available for 20 FV. The coins to XP relation is in general1:100. The biggest complaint as read in the community is that these Crop Circles are … HUGE. They t |
And last but not least: the (not really well received) mystery box has gone! Which means that all items that were available from the mystery box are also limited as of today.
Some pictures from some farms: (also see http://www.farmvillemania.de/2009/11/04/sie-sind-unter-uns-ufo-alarm-kornkreise-grune-kuhe/ for the always amazing graphics).

Crop Circle IV seems to be very popular I saw it in 99% of the times. |
The eye is watching our avatar with Crop Circle II |

The ROS-1947 (The Roswell UFO Incident was the alleged recovery of extra-terrestrial (alien) debris, including corpses, from an object which crashed near
Well, here's the thing: I like having loads of special stuf on my farm. I like the Halloween stuff as much as I like the new circles. But I love to farm, so I always try to maximize my harvesting area. If I can't buy something anymore, I won't delete it because I want to keep it and because I'm waiting for that store to happen. I would like to have all 6 circles, but I'm not giving up on 54 squares. No way. So I'll stick to Circle II, which I don't call "Eye" but "Osiris".
