Anyway. The Tree has been added to the Almanac. And as you can see from the revenue overview:

The Starfruit tree does not perform bad actually. It takes a 4th spot in the tree list (or 3rd of the currently available). And since the ACAI tree is FV only it probably is the 2nd best tree currently out there when you want to have the most revenue of your trees.

It is also easy to get since the level required is 2 where the olive tree (the #1 of the gifteable trees) takes level 32. So … taking all this into account. If you have trouble getting any Olive Trees from friends then the StarFruit Tree is probably the best tree currently in the game available simply because you can easily get A LOT of them.

I have not yet had the chance to grow a forest of StarFruit Trees to check if it is easy identifiable by fruit when it is ready in the middle of a forest. That is something to be checked later.

Egg-celent Discovery and Fenced In Achievement

It took me somewhat longer to update the Egg-Celent Discovery Achievement page and the Fenced In Achievement Page because I changed somewhat stuff in the website also while I was at it. But click there for the information.

Eggcelent discovery 100 Egg celent Discovery and Fenced In Achievement

For the Egg-Celent Discovery Achievement you need 100 produced mystery eggs from your Chicken Coop. So in the best case that is 100 days :) Or if you have cheated in the past and have a gazillion Chicken Coops on your farm only a few days. It was introduced on 5 January 2010.

Another way to speed this up for friends is to visit friends their Chicken Coops. By doing so you will increase the chance that they will find a Mystery Egg. And you can thank them for doing so:

You can however also request your friends to visit YOUR chickens to increase your chance of finding mystery eggs!

You can feed the chickens in your neighbor's coops once daily. Just like Fertilizing so… you could combine the two :)

You will see that the chicken coop has a "blue aura" so you can click it and feed the chickens for an extra 4 coins an 1 XP. But you can only click it AFTER you have fertilized your neigbors crops. For people who have multiple Chicken Coops … only 1 will work.

By doing so you will also have a chance on a Mystery Egg! If you don't get one then you will see the following sign:

The Fenced In Achievement is a funny Achievement. I see people all over just buying the cheapest 250 fences (the white ones), gaining the XP and then selling them again. It's funny to see this happening.

Then again, you could of course use the moment to create some cool structures of your fences while you are at it.

I took the easy route and bought the white fences (300 coins and +5XP). I started out with:

As you can see, you need about 8 by 8 squares of room :) My Coins and XP are now:

In other words: this achievement costs me 53535 coins and gained me 2630 XP when going via the cheapest route (which is 20.36 coins per XP).

1. Mystery box number 10

Mystery Box Number 10 has been Introduced! It runs until 13-1-2010 and costs 16 coins again. It contains a gazebo, the mini train set, a golden chicken, a white barn, a bunny slope and 50 fuel. So:
- the Gazebo has been changed to 200 XP and
- the White Barn to 450 XP just for this Mystery Box.
- the mini train set was changed to 450 XP
- the bunny slope to 450 XP
- the 50 fuel with 500 xP

I will update the database with the new mystery box later and then post a separate blogpost on it.

2. The snow and lights decorations end date has been updated

They are gone that is probably because there was something wrong with it. It might come back any time now.

3. New seed: bluemorningglory !

A new seed (Flower) called bluemorningglory has been added!

Cool! I will add a post about it later. For now:
- the required level is 13.
- It costs 60 coins and then gets you 123 coins when it is ready in 12 hours.

And ofcourse there is also a new Morning Glory bouquet / Perfect Bunches attached which can then be put in the Garden Shed.

I will add the mastery levels later in the same posting

A NEW Tree! Pretty Cool.

It is called the "starfruit Tree" and the required level is 2 to GIFT.

It has a grow time of 4 days and then gets you 100 coins. You can also sell it for 60 coins.

I will update the tree database later and post a seperate post on it.

6. The Fastest animal around: the black chicken is no more the fastest!

Our dear Black Chicken was once the fastest animal on FarmVille but the collect time has been put back to 1 days so it is now equal to all other chickens.

7. Igloo and LOTS OF other Winter Holiday decorations are gone!

If you were thinking about buying the igloo or some of the other winter holiday decorations such as the snowy trough… it is gone the end date has been changed so too bad.

And yes that includes the pole as was mentioned in the comments and the snowman, the blue soldier, the snowpiles, the frozen pond, the dancing snowman, the seasons greetings signs etc…

8. The Feed The Chickens Feature is active !

The "Feed The Chickens" feature is now finally active. I think that this is anther great incentive to keep visiting our neighbors. Since by visiting their chicken coops we can now earn.. mystery eggs! wow. cool.

I guess most of you are now very busy visiting your neighbors and trying to get those eggs.

I will add a post on this later.

9. 2 new Achievements!

There are 2 new achievements! "Fenced in" and "Egg-celent Discovery".

I will add them later and add a blogpost on it.

10. A NEW Theme! The cowprint theme!

And … a new theme which lasts for 7 days! The Cowprint theme! Lots of new buildings, new decorations AND cowprint gifts. Oh shit… I really want that Balloon… hmm 18 FV… hmm…

- a dairy farm Cowprint (6x5) is really really cool.
- the Cowprint barn (8x6) holds actually storage as well as the
- CowPrint Shed (4x4), very nice
- The CowPrint Silo (2x2) is affordable for everyone, so let's get a few :)

- the cowprint Balloon (2x2) (wow this is cool – genius!)
- the Cowprint Potty (2x2) – WHO would go to this place? LOL!!!
- the Cowprint Tower (3x3)

gifts:
- the Milk Jug where there are now hundreds of in my inbox, it sells for 75 coins.

I'm trying to get the most complete reliable database on FarmVille here. So … one of the items I am missing is the XP value gained for the Brown Chicken, the Black Chicken and the Golden Chicken.

If anyone knows these XP values when purchasing them for FV then that information would be more than welcome.

wiki has lots of nonsense such as that the grey tabby and grey goose come from mystery boxes, missing the alpaca, listing the cow as buyable, etc…
farmville-wiki is ENORMOUS out of date missing a lot
farmviller is often up2date but also has often some errors, and lists here the cow still as buyable, and confusingly says "mystery box only" while the FV column is filled.

So… if anyone has this data then that would save me 47 FV of trying to find out these XP values myself :)

UPDATE:

The brown chicken gives 5 XP and the black chicken gives 5 XP (so wiki people update your wikis)

The XP for the Golden Chicken is yet unknown unless its the same 50XP as from the Mystery Box.

We knew it started it today from our New Year Ball. So … here it is : free fuel week.

For every day that we come back to FarmVille we get 1 tank of fuel (at least if you are higher than level 10).

At the bottom we see an indicator which checks how many days you came back.

Do you think there is a surprise if you come back every day?

Is that all? No! We also find a new gift: 1/5 Fuel Refills… so we can have a gazillion of these fuel cans in our inboxes (we can gift this one until the 11th of januari)

You can click that fuel icon a lot of times, every time you reload the game you can click it again to share fuel with your friends. I don't know the limit.

friends are only able to get your fuel only once each 23 hours (assumption):

Furthermore you can click an awful lot of times on your wall and each time it will say that you are lucky EVEN when your gift box is already way above 30 gifts. So EVEN when you already have reached your limit on fuel:

The User Flow for getting the fuel from the Facebook Wall is confusing. Here is a diagram that shows why:

Anyway let's add my first batch of 30 1/5 fuel fills to explain you how fuel works and to give you the best scenario on how to deal with this fuel week:

	I have +270 Fuel Tanks for 40589 squares (as it says when you hover over the Fuel icon: 1 tank for 150 squares). The Fuel tank auto regenerates as you can see with the timer slowly counting down to 0. Every 2.5 minute you get fuel for 1 extra square.
	I now applied 1 of the 30 1/5 Fuel Cans in my Giftbox. The original situation was 40591 squares and the result is 40621 squares. Which means: 30 squares extra per gifted 1/5 Fuel Can (meaning: the 1/5 is correct grin)
	I now added another 1/5 Fuel Can and we jumped from 40622 squares to 40652 squares, rounded to 271 fuel Cans, we can see that the number 270 has changed in 271 and the bar started over again.
	Now… if you have a lot of friends then you probably have gotten a lot of fuel already during christmas, in that case you just keep adding those gifts until you get tired because it will come streaming in indefinitely with 1750 friends (…) in other words: you do not need any tricks because you probably do n ot even have the time to process all the fuel you get for free (let alone from the mystery eggs): you do not bother. If you do not have a lot of friends and are very low on fuel … or even empty on fuel… then you can apply the following trick, which is obvious by reading the above: Just apply 1 of the 1/5 gifts and then wait until your Fuel Can fills itself up automatically. (2.5 minute * 150 squares as you can see above). Only after it is full then apply the next gift so that it will jump over to a new tank. By using this "trick" you will have a full tank for each 1/5 fuel tank gift you receive.
	Then again, who knows what will happen more this week during this Free Fuel Week it might just be that there will be some more surprises coming (assumption). After emptying my first 30 gifts I end up with 276 cans of fuel enough for 41497 squares in other words: more than enough for the 5545 I need for earning the blue ribbon for the Lord of the Plow ribbon: Which reminds me to say that this fuel week does bring some balance in the game for users who find it difficult to earn the Lord of the Plow ribbon or maybe even some ribbons coming for the other machines: just delete your lands, plow, delete your lands, plow and then you will have your ribbon (although that is not the route I take since it is rather pointless expect for gaining this ribbon "fast").
	I did some plowing and harvesting in between so I ended up with 272 tanks. One more than before. That is nice.
