The FarmVille Pot of Gold Guide

As posted we have a pot of gold now that needs to be filled. Head for the chat on http://farmvillechicken.com to speed up your gold retrieval process :)

	The pot of gold starts empty and can be found in your giftbox
	When we look inside we see that we need to get Golden items for special St. Patricks day items. We can already see that we need 10, 20 and 30 for special items and the others are coming soon. You can ask for gold, buy gold for FV, find it in your Request box when send by friends or pluck it off the wall when someone post a pot of gold achievement or a "surpass" achievement. Just like with the Valentine Box we can Compare ourselves to our neighbors which brings a real nice competition element!
	With 5 golden items your pot already shows some gold and you are on level "meager". You can post this on your wall and share some gold:
	With 10 golden items you are able to get a Shamrock Sheep, pretty look-alike to the Valentine Sheep :)
	With 20 golden items your level is "Brimming" and you can again share some gold with your friends.
	You are now able to redeem your gold for a spring flower cart
	With 30 golden items you can redeem for the Leprechaun Gnome. Very nice for us, Gnome collectors :)
	With 50 golden items your level is "overflowing"
	With 100 golden items you found the rainbow that belongs with it and your status is "exploding"
	note: Items that you redeem can also be shared with Friends!
	I'm curious about the soon to come three extra objects to redeem!

A real interesting update today with a new community craze: the pot of gold!

	Like the Valentine box and the Christmas Tree we now find a Pot of Gold in our gift box, see the next blog post for the details.
	We now have to collect golden items (or buy them at 5 FV a piece :) ). - a golden nugget - a gold coin - a gold bar - a gold bear - a gold chain I will devote a separate blog posting on it.
	- the Shamrock Sheep - The Spring Flower Cart - Leprechaun Gnome Are the first 3 redeemable awards in the post of gold, see the guide to the golden pot
	Apart from the pot of gold there are 2 really nice French Chateau buildings. Expensive stuff but really nice for our city :) The Provencal Barn is of course another expandable storage building. Le Bistro is a very nice restaurant
	A nice little bistro table AND a serene pool and this is interesting since many of us made their pools up until now from blue hay bales :) But here it is, the serene pool. You also see the Gold Chunk which you can buy to complete you Pot of Gold if you can not retrieve enough gold from friends
	And the Provencal Fence is now also available on the market, which is nice to surround our villa with :)
	The mystery gifts also contains new things: - the Ossabaw Pig (animal) - Saanen Goat - Breadfruit Tree - Greenery - BirdFeeder And the Mandarin Tree is now also in it!
	There is also a new flag: the Bulgarian Flag.

I read the preview of Kristin ….

So I was very curious to the new items of today. You can see the screenshot of the preview of the long awaited dog / puppy on here blog.

	After the Eiffel Tower we have French theme! 5 decorations for this in the Market Place: - A forest: pretty cool a 4x4 spaces (=plot) forest, personally I would just plant 16 trees to have a forest but at least this decoration does not need any taking care of :) Actually… now I have to find another word for a whole bunch of trees together because now this definition is "taken". - A Lavender knoll: it looks small but is actually 4x7: thats comparable to 28 lavender spots. nice and smells refreshing. - A Provencal Pot: we can make a nice little frontgarden now with this affordable 2x2 pot - Tall Hedge: a 2x2 TALL hedge also nice as a fence or to make some differentiation in your hedges. - Provencal Fence: its 5x1 and looks REALLY classy, too bad we do not have a chateau (yet)
	And … we have a return of the Mystery Animals Box (see the list on the left) Actually the left out the word "box" this time to just call it "Mystery Animal", but it has the same contents.
	In the market we find the nicest bench until now to gift: the Kensington Bench, really classy We also find, in the Exclusive section, A 2x2 Fancy Topiary, which fits in the French Theme here, and which I really want to have, I think it is beautiful, and then I mean the name it even sounds French: Fancy Topiary.
	And… while the Carrier Pigeons where until now only available as a gift from Zynga for signing up with their e-mail newletter, it is now also available on the market for 17 FV.
	A little update on the "Mafia Wars" vehicles: they seemed not to be available completely for everyone yesterday but they are today.
	As explained in the forums there is now also a new "Make A Wish!" button. Which is handy : - pressing the button takes you to a special wish list screen:
	The Wish List button takes you to the gift pages the first time where you can press "click to wish" to get it on your wishlist, which also lets you publish it on your feed. (tip: if you rightmouseclick on the icon and copy that link you can reuse it, e.g.: http://apps.facebook.com/onthefarm/wishlist_give.php?recipient=517173825&giftId=mysterygift&ref=nf)
	A fix for not showing neighbors in the neighbors bar has also been applied according to the forums

3 FarmVille Cash free from Microsoft Bing!

Today we can get 3 FV for free by becoming a fan of the search engine from Microsoft: Bing. This is a great new revenue stream for Zynga! How many hundreds and thousands of companies are standing in line to offer us free FV and other goodies? There must be zillions! Hmmm… I might have to create a new entry for that in my almanac!
