Ok… the following is a draft of the workings of the Chicken Coop. I got some information from FarmViller, some from the forums, some from the network, so this is not the final version yet. I heard rumors of a penguin also being in the game here. So if you have any conformation on that: cool!
If you have any updates, corrections, etc… please add it in the comments so I can sort-of start my way into finalizing this poster. I'm sure it's not correct yet but hey… it's a start.

i found a brown egg off of a full coop of 20 brown chickens. I collected/hatched my own egg and found a black sheep!

Create a second account with only you as a freind. Give eggs back and forth between the two accounts.
It's simple. Let all your chickens outside the coop become ready to harvest. You know with the little pink hart above there heads. Put ONE of these chicks in the EMPTY coop. The coop will now have a pink hart over it! Harvest the coop. Now take it out so the coop is EMPTY. Put another chicken that is ready to harvest so the coop would be ready to harvest again. Now you can put the first chicken back in and harvest both chickens. Take them both out and put your third one in the Empty coop. Just keep repeating this and you will harvest the same chickens over and over again.
You dont need to fill the coop to get an egg. I use like 10 gold chickens at a time. My white chickens I use as starter chickens. I put one ready (pink heart above his head) white chicken in an empty coop. Then about 10-12 gold chickens in ready or NOT ready. Then I take the white chicken out after putting in the gold chickens and I harvest the coop. I take the white chicken out so I dont get any white eggs. Oh and you can't use black chickens as starter chickens.
Ive had 19 gold chickens and 1 white chicken in the coop and produced a white egg. Yes fill it with one color of chicken so you can produce that type of egg you want. But remember only white and gold chickens give gifts except for fuel. All chickens give fuel and chicks. I only harvest gold chickens. Go to farmville.com and watch the feed for gold chickens. I keep the feed up on one side of my computer so I can see it all the time. This is how you get the eggs!

please explain how u can hatch yr own egg??? When I collect the eggs it goes posted to my wall and then people hatch the egg,. I CANT DO IT ON MY OWN EGGS...PLEASE EXPLAIN..Thanks
Can someone explain this to me, I've got a couple of gold chickens that I want to put in my coop, but it wont let me put them in. When I click on look inside levels three and four which are for the black chicken and the gold one are greyed out. What are the levels?
There is a maximum amount of chickens you can put in. First take out some white chickens, after that you can place e.g. the golden chickens. The levels are related to the color of the chickens: white, brown, black and gold.
