Superhandy FarmVille Farm Cash to Dollar Translation Table!

Especially now with all these temptations of the new set of Winter Holiday goodies I thought it was handy to present you a handy table to lookup how much 1 FV is actually worth if you would buy it in the shop (using the best rate).

4 Rows with Farm Cash values from 1 to 100 and directly to the right of it the amount of dollars it represents e.g. Santa's Workshop for 38 FV is actually $6.33. Well… let's start counting all the FV objects on your farm and see how much dollars it represents ok? (and deduct the 70 FV = $11.67 you get for free for leveling).

It's time to make a monthly FarmVille budget *grin*.

I think I could start a site only publishing harvest/collect time calculators. This one however looks nice because a) you can probably check it on your phone (small) and b) there are no disturbing elements around it.

New Firefox Beta Improves Facebook and FarmVille Experience 150%

I just installed the new FireFox 3.6b4 beta : http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html and could not believe my eyes. Either Facebook and FarmVille just put in a couple of hundred extra servers or the new version of Firefox really improves speed.

Going through my requests usually took a loooooooooong time but now… clickclickclick… done.

So here is a really good tip for you if you are using FireFox for Facebook: get it now!

p.s. if you have any add-ons that are not supported yet and that you really want type "about:config" in your url bar. Then add a new boolean value (rightmouseclick) "extensions.checkCompatibility" and set it to false and enter another new boolean value (rightmouseclick) "extensions.checkUpdateSecurity" and also set this one to false.

There are some other interesting about:config settings to set around "Facebook" and its applications (or rather in general):

network.http.pipelining to true network.http.proxy.pipelining to true network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to 8 network.http.pipelining.maxrequests to 96 network.http.max-connections-per-server to 32	This trick is on 1 million websites: speed it up, you need it
browser.search.openintab	set it to true. Now, when you search on Google or Wikipedia or whatever "gazing ball" when a friend types something and you want to look it up, it never accidently kills your Facebook screen but opens the searches in a new screen
dom.max_script_run_time	set it to a higher value of seconds. E.g. the Zynga support site will popup these script execution time exceeded messages.
layout.spellcheckDefault	set it to 2 now also the Facebook single line textboxes will be spellchecked so that you are not "corrected" by friends but by the spellchecker,
*browser.urlbar.clickSelectsAll*	false, much handier when stripping parts of an url.
browser.urlbar.autofill	set it to true, now when you type "face" in your browser url bar it will automagically place already "Facebook" on there.

image345 FarmVille Calculator for PocketPC If you have a Windows Mobile PocketPC uhm.. WindowsPhone you might find this application from TWOLF very handy: the FarmVille Calculator.

image346 FarmVille Calculator for PocketPC It calculates the best crop for you to plant, by simply:
- Write down the number of hours or days of your next visit.
- It then shows you the best 3 crops for you to plant.
- When you press the one you choose, it asks you for you plantation size.
- It then calculates how much you are going to receive if you plant the hole field minus the plowing costs.

The data.txt on the side, helps for future updates, it uses this simple rule:
- Crops are separated by hours or days to harvest.
- The first value on the arrays is the name of the crop, then the market cost, then the sell price and finally the time it takes to grow.

- And finally the cost it takes to plow, in case they ever change it.
