Yes, the green cow is a shape shifter: SKRULL INVASION!

A lot of people on blogs and the forum noticed that the dark green cow suddenly turned lightgreen!

What is it?  Mister Mxyzptlk? Hey…. I know …. OMG… they are green… they are super…. SKRULLS!

image81 Yes, the green cow is a shape shifter: SKRULL INVASION!  Ok… let me explain… The Skrulls are a race in the Marvel Universe. They are one of the oldest enemies of the famous Fantastic Four.

The Fantastic Four, at the beginning of their superhero career[4] defeated a group of Skrull spies. Reed Richards brainwashed them into becoming cows and retaining that form for life. The Skrull-cows at one point regained their memories[5] leading to the death of one of them. The other three were turned over to the U.S. government and restored to cows in shape and mind.

The milk from these cows affected a small dairy town named King's Crossing. The Fantastic Four, via a girl Johnny Storm was dating, ended up investigating the town and neutralizing the threat.[6]

They were then (apparently by accident) shipped to a slaughterhouse and butchered as beef. Some of the meat eaten by people transferred the Skrull's adaptable DNA code into the human's cells, resulting in a bizarre condition called Skrullovoria Induced Skrullophobia, in which these individuals not only gained shape-shifting powers equal to, or greater than, actual Skrulls, but also developed an intense fear or hatred of Skrulls.

So what happened here is logical… they are back with a revenge!

Call 04-FANTASTIC! Secret Invasion II has started!

I think it is even WORSE! Remember the GREEN Turtles that in a while disappear? "The Skrulls later developed the ability to render themselves undetectable when using their shapeshifting abilities" (!)

XP, Coins and their relation

In the marketplace some items in FarmVille can be bought for Farm Coins and some for Farm Cash. What would be a good exchange rate or let´s say a method to compare the both?

Farm Coins: can be earned in numerous ways. By harvesting, doings side tasks, collecting and so on.
Farm Cash: can only be earned when leveling up. For each level a player gets 1 Farm Cash. So within the game 70 Farm Cash are to be earned for free at this moment.

Maybe the most basic comparison we can make is by using "real dollars" as exchange rate. In the "Add Farm Coins & Cash" section we find:

image38 XP, Coins and their relation

In other words, in the optimal exchange rate:

Real Dollars Farm Cash Farm Coins
$ 40,00 240 70600 as in shop
1 6 1765 dollar based
$ 0,17 1 294,17 farm cash based
$0,00056657 0,00339943 1 farm coins based

What it says here is that 295 Farm Coins is worth1 Farm Cash but dollar based.

The limitation of this simplistic line of thinking is that Farm Cash is a limited good in the game. You really have to purchase it. Besides that, at a certain moment in the game, players will have so much Farm Coins that they probably don't know what to do with it anymore except stashing it. So not a single player will trade his 1 Farm Cash for a teeny weeny 295 Farm Coins.

Which means that the only way we are able to find out what the exchange rate is of the Farm Cash to the Farm Coin is when a trade system is setup in the game. After some time we will find out what items are really wanted by players. So players who bought items for Farm Cash will trade with (limited) items available for Farm Coins. Or even people will start trading Farm Cash for Farm Coins. In that "marketplace" where "emotion" and "feelings" will play a large role we will probably see the true exchange rate of the two.

Zynga will probably benefit highly from such an internal economy as with all multiplayer kind of internal economies. Maybe it will result in a new sort of paying standard that will represent the two monetary systems.

My first guess is that 1 Farm Cash will probably turn out to be at least 250.000 Farm Coins. What do you think?

idea: Make Crop income Variable

image22 idea: Make Crop income Variable There are by now a gazillion spreadsheet out there containing all the same formula's. I was just wondering if people would get upset if FarmVille would makes the income and costs of the seeds variable e.g. as to depending on some fictive (or even real) economic climate.

So then one day potatoes could be the big thing and the next day cabbage would be the big thing. Of course there should be some kind of predictive buzz system around it.

I think that could make the game quite interesting since you would no longer see the Sell price in the box but before you plant you would have to check the economic charts to see what is wise to plant.
